God is faithful

(Luk 5:4)  Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.

(Luk 5:5)  And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

(Luk 5:6)  And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

(Luk 5:7)  And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

(Luk 5:8)  When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.

(Luk 5:9)  For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken:

Man of war

(Exo 15:3)  The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.

Blamed for man's troubles

(Pro 19:3)  The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the LORD.

(Rev 16:9)  And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

Banished from man's thinking

(Psa 10:4)  The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.

(Rom 1:17)  For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

(Rom 1:18)  For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

(Rom 1:19)  Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

(Rom 1:20)  For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

(Rom 1:21)  Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

(Rom 1:22)  Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

(Rom 1:23)  And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

(Rom 1:24)  Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

(Rom 1:25)  Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

(Rom 1:26)  For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

(Rom 1:27)  And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

(Rom 1:28)  And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

(Rom 1:29)  Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

(Rom 1:30)  Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

(Rom 1:31)  Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

(Rom 1:32)  Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

(1Ti 4:2)  Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

(Eph 2:12)  That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

Bring Back to rightful place

(Psa 68:1)  To the chief Musician, A Psalm or Song of David. Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.

(Rom 1:16)  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

(Joh 13:13)  Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.

Lot God arise

God gives you better than you give up

Where are the nine?

1 Object of our thanksgiving

2 Verbalize

3 Outcome

Who are you and what do you have to be thankful for?

Where are the nine?

(Luk 17:12)  And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:

(Luk 17:13)  And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

(Luk 17:14)  And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.

(Luk 17:15)  And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,

(Luk 17:16)  And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

(Luk 17:17)  And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

Object of our Thanksgiving

(Psa 50:14)  Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:

(1Th 5:18)  In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

(Heb 13:5)  Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Verbalize

(Psa 63:3)  Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

(Psa 63:4)  Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.

(Psa 51:15)  O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.

(Psa 69:30)  I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.

(1Ch 16:8)  Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.

Outcome

(Psa 136:1)  O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

(Psa 107:21)  Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

(Joe 2:25)  And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

(Joe 2:26)  And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

(2Co 9:15)  Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.

Results of Rebellion

1 Repetitive Reproof

2 Rebellions Response

3 Regretful Ruin

4 Refused Remedy

Don’t ignore God. Greatest example is the rejection of Jesus Christ.

(Pro 29:1)  He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

(2Ki 17:14)  Notwithstanding they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, that did not believe in the LORD their God.

(Jer 7:26)  Yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers.

(1Ki 22:7)  And Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the LORD besides, that we might enquire of him?

(1Ki 22:8)  And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.

(1Co 10:5)  But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

(1Co 10:6)  Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

(1Co 10:7)  Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

(1Co 10:8)  Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

(1Co 10:9)  Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

(1Co 10:10)  Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

(1Co 10:11)  Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

(Pro 6:15)  Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.

(Pro 1:25)  But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:

(Pro 1:26)  I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;

(Pro 1:27)  When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.

(Pro 1:28)  Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:

(Pro 1:29)  For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:

(Pro 1:30)  They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.

(Pro 1:31)  Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.

(Pro 1:32)  For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.

(Pro 1:33)  But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

(Amo 5:10)  They hate him that rebuketh in the gate, and they abhor him that speaketh uprightly.

(Ecc 8:11)  Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
